Day 1: Pune to Haridwar – Drive to Guptkashi

Day 2: Guptkashi – Gaurikund – Trek to Kedarnath
After an early breakfast, drive to Sonprayag and take a local cab to Gaurikund, the starting point of the trek to Kedarnath. Begin the 16 km uphill journey on foot, by mule, or opt for a helicopter from Phata (additional cost). Reach Kedarnath by evening for temple darshan and overnight stay.
Day 3: Kedarnath to Guptkashi
Wake up to the spiritual ambiance of Kedarnath and attend morning aarti at the temple. After breakfast, trek down to Gaurikund and then return to Guptkashi by vehicle. This day gives you time to reflect on your kedarnath yatra while relaxing at your hotel.

No, Kedarnath doesn’t have a railway station of its own. While there are trains from Pune heading north, you’ll first need to reach Haridwar or Delhi. From there, it’s a road trip to Sonprayag, followed by a short jeep ride to Gaurikund, and then a 16 km trek to reach the Kedarnath temple. So yes, trains are part of the journey but not the whole route.
The most practical route is to take a flight from Pune to Dehradun or Delhi. From there, we handle everything from road travel to the trek or optional pony or palki services till Kedarnath.
