FAQs About Kedarnath Tour from Delhi
A Delhi to Kedarnath trip generally costs INR 12,000–25,000 per person depending on transport mode, hotel type, trek vs. helicopter, and trip duration. Typically, our 4-day Kedarnath tour from Delhi starts around ₹18000 per person for a group with standard facilities. Prices vary based on customizations (such as private luxury hotels or helicopter tickets). Contact us with your group size and travel dates for an exact quote.
Yes, you can combine Badrinath and Kedarnath in a single itinerary (known as a Do Dham Yatra). A typical trip to Badrinath and Kedarnath from Delhi would be about 6–7 days. Our Delhi to Kedarnath Badrinath tour package covers both shrines, including travel between Kedarnath and Badrinath, accommodations, etc. If you have the time, this is a great way to see two holy Dhams in one pilgrimage.
A 2 day Delhi to Kedarnath trip is not practical for most travelers. The road distance itself is around 450 km (12–14 hours) and then there’s the 16 km trek. Even with a helicopter ride to skip the trek, you would be very rushed and get almost no time for kedarnath temple darshan. We recommend at least 3–4 days for a safe and meaningful Kedarnath Yatra from Delhi.
A 3 days Kedarnath trip from Delhi can be planned with tight scheduling. For example: Day 1 – drive from Delhi to Guptkashi (a long 12-hour journey), Day 2 – early morning trek or fly by helicopter to Kedarnath and return to Guptkashi by night, Day 3 – drive back to Delhi. This leaves little room for rest or delays. If you’re very short on time, we can arrange a helicopter-assisted plan to make a 3-day trip feasible, but whenever possible plan a 4-day delhi to kedarnath yatra for a better experience.
The most convenient way to reach Kedarnath is by road followed by a trek. Most pilgrims travel from Delhi to Kedarnath by road via Haridwar or Rishikesh and continue the journey up to Sonprayag or Gaurikund, from where the 16 km trek to the Kedarnath temple begins. This route is popular because it offers beautiful Himalayan views throughout the drive and the trek.
If you want to reduce travel time, you can also take a train or flight to Haridwar or Dehradun and then continue by road. For those who prefer to avoid trekking, helicopter services from Phata, Guptkashi, or Sersi are available and provide quick access near the temple.
The best time to visit Kedarnath is from May to June and September to October, when the weather stays calm, the trek is safer, and the crowd is comparatively lesser. However, to be on safer side monsoon months needs to be avoided due to frequent landslides in the region.
